Rostec to present advanced medical innovations at Russian Health Care Week 2025

The Rostec State Corporation will present its latest medical devices at the Russian Healthcare Week – 2025 forum. The integrated exhibition of Rostec enterprises will feature approximately 50 breakthrough developments, including critical care and cardiac equipment, ophthalmological systems, and specialized medical refrigerators. The KRET Concern will unveil a brand-new innovation for the first time: a lidar-sonar assistant (LISA), a novel device designed to aid navigation for people with visual impairments.
This advanced technical rehabilitation aid, developed by engineers at the Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau (a subsidiary of Rostec's KRET). Special sensors continuously scan the surrounding area. Based on the collected data, a software analytics system will generate audio signals through a small speaker and vibrations via bracelets worn on the wrists. The closer an obstacle is, the more distinctly the sound or vibration will change. Additionally, the assistant's built-in camera will help read and vocalize the text, as well as recognize familiar objects, such as people's faces. The device is currently in the advanced prototyping phase, with the first functional model undergoing assembly and core system validation at the manufacturing plant.
Furthermore,Rostec State Corporation enterprise POZIS will introduce its 2025 innovation: the MNT-30 medical freezer, which is designed for the long-term storage of blood plasma, its components, and biopreparates. The device operates at a precisely controlled ultra-low temperature range of –60°C to –86°C. Equipped with a sophisticated microprocessor controller and a ultra-sensitive sensor, it guarantees temperature stability and immediately activates audible and visual alarms upon any deviation. The MNT-30 is already widely used at blood transfusion centers and research laboratories.
Another POZIS development is the VacProtect VPA-200 medical refrigerator, intended for storing vaccines and immunobiological preparations at a temperature range of +2°C to +8°C. Its key feature is the ability to maintain the required temperature for up to 24 hours during a power outage due to built-in cold accumulators. This refrigerator is vital in hospitals, vaccination clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, diagnostic centers, and other healthcare institutions where maintaining an unbroken cold chain is critical.

Russian Health Care Week will also feature medical devices that have already entered serial production. A prime example is Russia's first MRI-compatiblepacemaker, the Apollo MRI. Designed for patients with severe forms of arrhythmia, the device enables safe magnetic resonance imaging without the need for device deactivation or special protocols. Implanted subcutaneously, the Apollo MRI can be individually programmed to meet patient-specific therapeutic needs. Serial production of the Apollo MRI began in October at the Rostec State Corporation’s Kardioelektronica. Production capacity is set to scale significantly, with a target output of up to 5,000 units per year by 2027.
Among other innovations from Rostec are the high-tech medical system with a shockwave generator for treating urolithiasis, developed by the Schwabe holding; a complex for minimally invasive surgery by Rosel; a mobile device for ultrasound diagnostics and treatment of neoplasms using HIFU therapy, created by the KRET Concern; the continuous glucose monitoring system from National Medical Technologies; as well as other equipment for resuscitation, neonatology, ophthalmology, dentistry, and physiotherapy.
The Russian Health Care Week scientific and practical forum will take place from December 8–11 at Moscow's Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center. As one of Russia's foremost federal-level medical events, it serves as the nation's premier platform for presenting healthcare innovations. The forum's agenda encompasses critical discussions on current healthcare priorities, outcomes of national projects, matters of technological sovereignty, and the presentation of groundbreaking work by emerging scientists. The 2025 edition is planned to attract over 27,000 healthcare professionals and more than 1,000 companies from 10 countries, including Belarus, India, and China. Leading companies of the Rostec State Corporation—RT-MedTech, Schwabe, Rosel, KRET, and Technodinamika—will present their advanced developments. The forum is organized by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Russian Ministry of Health, and EXPOCENTRE JSC with support from the Federation Council, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
